If you decide not to eat a chocolate bar then you’re saving yourself some considerable calories that you would otherwise have to work off in exercise such as a very brisk walk for an hour.
The main issue is that when we exercise we tend to overcompensate with eating more food. This often negates our progress without realizing why. ‘Well I am exercising all the time’ you may say, but you may be eating just the same or even more and so find yourself going nowhere. This happens often without people realizing why.
Make your calories healthy. Focus on eating more protein and a small amount of carbs each day. Really cut down on the carbs. Have one slice of toast for breakfast, or one small serve of pasta or one potato but not all three. Also have low fat dairy no more than two serves of fruit and avoid starchy vegetables such as potato, sweet potato and carrots. Instead think salad or vegetables such as zucchini, eggplant, capsicum, tomatoes and squash. (more…)
